Trustee & Safeguarding Officer

Wendy is the newest trustee of Lancashire TAAG, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to the organisation. As a Regional Director for Aspris Education, Wendy provides governance to specialist schools as well as being a Responsible Individual to many residential homes, ensuring they meet the highest standards of excellence. Recently, she earned her Education Doctorate in autism Education, further deepening her understanding and commitment to supporting children with Autism and their families

Wendy has extensive experience in managing operations and driving organisational growth through effective business strategies.

Wendy is a passionate advocate for autism awareness and support, leading impactful campaigns that promote inclusivity and understanding. Wendy has three sons who all have Autism and ADHD and had many challenges in raising them along the way!

She prioritises the health, safety, and wellbeing of all individuals involved in the charity, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.

With her leadership skills, Wendy effectively manages senior teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work culture. Her ability to engage with stakeholders and members strengthens the charity’s network and community support.

Wendy is deeply committed to community service. She regularly provides support and training to volunteers and parents associated with Lancashire TAAG, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to better support neurodivergent children. Her hands-on approach and empathetic understanding make her an invaluable resource for the charity.

In addition to her trustee responsibilities, Wendy serves as one of the charity’s safeguarding officers. She plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children involved in the charity’s programmes, implementing and upholding strict safeguarding policies and procedures.

As a trustee, Wendy aims to leverage her business management and strategic development expertise to further the mission of Lancashire TAAG. Her vision is to create a more inclusive and supportive community for neurodivergent children and their families, advocating for their needs and rights at every level.

Wendy s extensive experience in education and autism research, combined with her strong skills in business management, strategic development, and advocacy, make her an invaluable asset to Lancashire TAAG. Her dedication to safeguarding, training, and community engagement ensures that the charity continues to provide essential support and resources to neurodivergent children and their families.
